Steve McCoy & Vikki Locke


Steve McCoy is from Alabama; Vikki Locke is from Canton, Ohio. He attended Alfred College in Alfred, New York. She attended Ohio State University. Steve’s first job was at WJJL in Niagara Falls, New York; Vikki was a newsperson at WJW in Cleveland. In 1981, Steve came to Atlanta to do mornings on Z-93; in the early 80’s, Vikki came to Atlanta around the same time to work at WARM. When the station changed formats, Steve was paired with Vikki as morning hosts on the new Power 99. When Power 99 changed formats, they went their separate ways. In 1991, they were reunited at Star 94 where they stayed for the next 17 years. Today, the pair does morning on B98.5. They have been very active in Atlanta charity work; Steve with Children’s Healthcare and Vikki as a spokes person for the National Kidney Foundation. Steve lives in Alpharetta and Vikki lives in Atlanta. They are married, but, not to each other!
