The Georgia Radio Museum
Since our founding in 2007, a physical location has been our dream. The dream came true Memorial Day weekend 2014 when The Georgia Radio Museum and Hall of Fame opened in a city owned building St. Marys, Georgia. That small museum attracted nearly 4,000 visitors per year despite being off the beaten path.
In 2016 it became obvious the museum had to increase in size. The city of St. Marys refused our requests for more space, so we began a yearlong search. After receiving interest from many Georgia municipalities, meeting with some of them and vetting what they offered, we finally accepted a generous invitation from the city of Forest Park, Georgia, 12 miles from downtown Atlanta and minutes off I- 75. The new and more spacious museum will occupy the 2nd floor of this building and open in late spring of 2017.
