Jerry Rogers
Originally from New York City, Jerry Rogers began his Radio career in 1966 in Virginia and came to Savannah in 1969 as MD and PM drive at WSGA. Jerry became PD of WSGA 1n 1971 and then also PD of Z102 FM. In 1976 Jerry became one of the first programmer’s to go directly from programming into the General Manager’s position. WSGA was a legendary Top 40 station with a national reputation during the heyday of AM radio winning numerous national radio station of the year awards. Talent went from WSGA to markets such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. In 1991 Rogers signed on WRHQ FM where he remains as Owner, General Manager and PM drive jock. Jerry has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Savannah Chamber of Commerce and received the prestigious Silver Medal Award from the Savannah Advertising Federation for lifetime contributions to advertising.
The Georgia Radio Hall Of Fame is a Georgia non profit corporation and a 501 (c) (3) organization.
