Eddie Esserman


Eddie Esserman grew up in Rome, Georgia and got his first radio job when he was 16 running the board at WLAQ for baseball games. While attending West Georgia College, he worked at WLBB/WBTR. As a student at Georgia Tech, Eddie worked at WREK, the campus station. He also worked part time at WKXI FM (now Star 94) in Atlanta. After a few years out of radio, Eddie became a salesman, then local sales manager, and finally General Sales Manager of WKLS. In 1984 he joined WFOX where he ascended to the position of Vice President/General Manager. Shamrock Broadcasting transferred him out of state, however, he returned to Georgia in the mid 90’s as owner operator of WMAZ/WAYS in Macon and WEAS in Savannah. Esserman sold those stations and became a broker and is co owner of WRJY and WXMK in Brunswick.
