Jay Jacobs


John W Jacobs III, or “Jay”, is a native of Gainesville, born into a broadcasting family. His father, John W, Jacobs, Jr., founded WDUN on April 2, 1949. He graduated from Lakeview Academy in 1979 and attended Presbyterian College and Georgia Southern College. Today he is President and CEO of JACOBS Media Corporation. JACOBS Media is the parent company of WDUN News/Talk 550, 1240 ESPN, MAJIC 102.9 FM, AccessNorthGa.com, and Wide Travel Service. Jay is active with community organizations and serves as VP/Marketing and Communications for the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.


The Georgia Radio Hall Of Fame is a Georgia non profit corporation and a  501 (c) (3) organization.
